With the proliferation of information technology into all spheres of human life, digital forensics is taking an increasingly important role in the fight against crime and response to security incidents. With this in mind, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad founded the Digital Forensics Laboratory. It's mission is to support teaching, research, and provision of commercial services to the judiciary and law enforcement, companies, and citizens.
The Digital Forensics Laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, consisting of workstations, forensic bridges, a forensic duplicator, a mobile forensic station, and supporting tools and accessories, funded by Erasmus+ project "Information Security Services Education in Serbia" and Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. It has established cooperation with similar institutions.

The Digital Forensics Laboratory carries out laboratory exercises in the course "Introduction to Digital Forensics" at master academic studies Computing and Control Engineering, Software Engineering and Information Technology, and Information Security at Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
In the laboratory exercises, students gain practical skills by being introduced to digital forensics techniques and tools.
Selected students of master's academic studies are offered the opportunity to go through an internship program.
The internship program enables students to get acquainted with all phases of a forensic investigation by working on simulated cases with the support of a mentor.
Digital Forensics Laboratory participates in the realization of "Information Technology in the Function of Harmonization of Criminal Procedure Law of Republic of Serbia with EU Law" summer school within Erasmus+ programme.
Students who have completed the course "Introduction to Digital Forensics" can opt for a master's thesis in digital forensics.
